HLGU Hosting SBC Booth and Dessert Reception

Hannibal-Lagrange University is sponsoring a booth at the 2016 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting, June 13-15, at America’s Center, 701 Convention Plaza, in St. Louis.

Faculty, staff, and administrators are well represented at the HLGU booth and are happy to speak with anyone interested in all the programs, scholarships, and more that the University has to offer.

On Tuesday, June 14, at 9 pm, the University will hold a dessert reception for HLGU friends and alumni. This special event will feature chocolate and caramel fondue will allow alumni to reconnect with each other. The dessert reception will be held in rooms 120 and 127 on the first level of the America’s Center.

“As a Southern Baptist University, attending the Southern Baptist Convention allows our representatives a prime opportunity to thank those individuals who offer support Hannibal-LaGrange as well as introduce the opportunities that our Southern Baptist University has to offer to students, pastors, and churches,” stated Dr. Ray Carty, vice president for enrollment management and institutional effectiveness. “Participation in the convention helps to support the statement in the Baptist Faith and Message suggesting that ‘an adequate system of Christian education is necessary to complete the spiritual program for Christ’s people.’ Christianity truly is the faith of enlightenment and intelligence.”
