POSITION SUMMARY
The Mailroom Clerk is responsible to the head of the business office. This position is for a substitute clerk, is part-time with variable hours and does not offer benefits. Employee must possess a vibrant, personal Christian faith including a clear testimony of Christian conversion and be actively involved in an evangelical, preferably Southern Baptist, church.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver mail to administrative offices.
• Distribute student and faculty mail to campus boxes from both outside and intercampus sources.
• Maintain mailing list and forward mail to former students.
• Receive, sort and log (those with tracking numbers) all incoming mail. • Process outgoing UPS, FedEx and USPS mail.
• Order supplies for the mailroom.
• Buy and sell stamps and postage for students, faculty, and staff.
• Requisition FedEx and UPS charges.
• Complete monthly report for Business Office.
• Assign mailboxes to students.
• Distribute keys – making and billing for lost keys
• Distribute student mailbox list to faculty and staff
• Schedule use of school vehicles and report to maintenance.
• Train Faculty, Staff and Administrators in the use of pool cars and distribute vehicle keys.
• Other duties as assigned by the VP of Business and Finance.

DEPARTMENTAL RELATIONSHIPS
• Work with all departments on incoming and outgoing mail.
• Work with departments and groups on scheduling of university vehicles.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Ability to relate to university students
• Interpersonal skills.
• Lift up to 25 lbs.
• Bending, squatting, and climbing.
• Must have values consistent with the mission and purpose of Hannibal-LaGrange University.
• Must agree to, sign off on, and abide by the standards of employment on the application, on the yearly contract, and in the employee handbook.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred experience and/or proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
