POSITION SUMMARY
This is a 2-year Graduate Assistantship position and requires enrollment in a Hannibal-LaGrange University graduate degree program. The role includes a tuition benefit and stipend, with work hours averaging 20 hours per week.
The Graduate Assistant reports directly to the Chair of the Education Division and works collaboratively with Education faculty. This position supports the daily operations of the division through administrative, instructional, and organizational responsibilities. The Graduate Assistant plays an important role in assisting faculty, supporting teacher candidates, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Education program.
Employee must possess a vibrant, personal Christian faith including a clear testimony of Christian conversion and be actively involved in an evangelical, preferably Southern Baptist, church.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- General office tasks such as filing, copying, typing, and organizing materials
- Creating slides, forms, labels, and instructional documents
- Using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other digital tools for data entry and record keeping
- Preparing mailings and maintaining inventory of supplies
- Reorganizing office or storage spaces as needed
- Communicating professionally with students, faculty, and staff to answer questions or share information
- Assisting faculty with course design and preparation of instructional materials
- Supporting classroom instruction, including teaching alongside professors when appropriate
- Assisting with grading, feedback, and course-related tasks under faculty supervision
- Helping manage course resources in Canvas or other learning platforms
- Completing additional duties as assigned to support the Education Division

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Must be accepted into a Hannibal-LaGrange University graduate program
