Ashlie Hirtzel, M.S.Ed.
Instructor of Teacher Education and Field Experience Coordinator
Mrs. Hirtzel joined the HLGU faculty in the fall of 2025 after serving 7 years in a local elementary school, teaching first grade and Title 1 Reading. Sheis no stranger to HLGU, as she served as the Head Athletic trainer and taught in the Exercise Science program from 2004-2013. Mrs. Hirtzel has a deep passion for teaching and seeing student success and excellence in and out of the classroom.
Mrs. Hirtzel is married to Luke and together they have 3 children, Allie, and twins Gunnar and Kinzie. They live in Hannibal and are active members of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Hirtzel enjoys reading thrillers, watching OU football and softball, golfing with her husband and friends, spending time with family, and most of all, cheering on her kids in their many sports— swim, football, basketball, baseball, and softball.
