Cassandra “Cassie” Huckstep-Spangler, Ed.D

Professor of Education Administration

Dr. Spangler serves as an adjunct professor at HLGU. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Education at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Missouri. Before her current role in higher education, Dr. Spangler gained extensive experience in K-12 education and educational leadership working as a teacher, principal, and superintendent for 17 years. Her passion for preparing teachers and school leaders drives her commitment to building genuine learning communities where students connect theory to real-world practice and application.
Dr. Spangler received her Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice from Missouri Baptist University and her Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Columbia College. She also received her Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Educational Administration, Educational Specialist, and Ed.D. in Leadership in Teaching and Learning from Missouri Baptist University. Additionally, Dr. Spangler is currently a doctoral candidate completing her Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology at Liberty University. She is an active member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Missouri, and she enjoys spending time with her family.
