Knowledge for Service
Nestled perfectly within the mission of Hannibal-LaGrange University, the University Studies program combines a robust liberal arts general education curriculum with the freedom for students to choose three academic areas of concentration that are meaningful to them in their life and career field rather than being defined by one.

BS: University Studies
Bachelor of Science: University Studies
The curriculum for a University Studies major varies widely depending upon the student’s chosen areas of academic concentration. Regardless of their concentrations, students in their senior year as University Studies majors have the opportunity to propose and implement a “Knowledge for Service” project utilizing their chosen fields of study.
BAS: University Studies
Bachelor of Applied Science: University Studies
The Bachelor of Applied Science in University Studies gives people with practical experience in the field or an AAS degree from post-secondary accredited institutions advanced standing, awarding them college credit for relevant work. Hannibal-LaGrange University is the only university in the tri-state area offering a BAS degree in University Studies.

Careers in University Studies
Careers for University Studies majors will vary depending upon the student’s chosen concentration areas. Past graduates of this program are currently enjoying careers in the mental health, Christian ministry, and speech language-pathology assistance.
