Graduate Assistant – Moorman Professorship Administrative Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY
The Moorman Professorship Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting Moorman Professors in administering Free Society programming at Hannibal-LaGrange University.
Free Society programming at HLGU is focused on promoting the ideals of a free society. We focus on three foundations of a free society, which are democratic forms of government, free market economic systems, and cultural institutions, like the church. The programming brought to campus will emphasize concepts within these three foundations, often viewing them through the lens of a Christian worldview which is central to the mission of Hannibal-LaGrange University.
- Tuition concession toward an approved HLGU graduate program
- On-campus housing
- Monthly stipend
- Maximum of 20 hours per week
- Two-year commitment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fulfill all requirements expected of HLGU Graduate Assistants
- Supervise business department student workers
- Attend all Free Society events
- Work with the Moorman Professors to:
○ Plan on-campus events
○ Communicate and coordinate with guest speakers
○ Assist in scheduling programming
○ Promote Free Society programming
○ Collaborate with the HLGU marketing and public relations department ○ Create and manage purchase orders
○ Offer administrative assistance as requested
○ Keep careful records of all programming and other endeavors associated with the professorship
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by Moorman Professors

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING
- Bachelor’s Degree required (does not have to be in business)
- Must be accepted into an HLGU graduate program to begin Fall 2025
