Graduate Assistant – Online Department

GRADUATE ASSISTANT – ONLINE DEPARTMENT

The graduate assistant will assist online staff with communicating to and supporting incoming and existing online students and instructors, developing and maintaining resources, assisting in course maintenance, and other duties to help facilitate the daily operations of the online department. Training will be provided to equip the graduate assistant to accomplish these tasks.

Tasks

  • Reach out to potential online instructors
  • Use a rubric to evaluate the quality of existing online courses
  • Make policy changes to syllabi
  • Field basic troubleshooting questions for online instructors
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining digital files
  • Maintain social media presence
  • Develop student admissions resources
  • Maintain cleanliness of office spaces
  • Answer phone
  • Other duties as assigned

Terms of Employment are:

  • at least a 2-year commitment
  • Free tuition for 6 credit hours of graduate credit per semester
  • Free on-campus housing
  • $500 monthly stipend
