Position Title:  Head Coach, Women’s Basketball

Department: Athletics Division: Enrollment Mgmt. and Institutional Effectiveness

Number of hours per week for which this position is budgeted: 40

Number of months per year for which this position is budgeted: 10

Reports to: Director of Athletics

Grade: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible to the Director of Athletics. The position is Full-Time and does offer benefits, as specified in the handbook.  The coach will be responsible for all aspects of establishing and maintaining a quality and competitive baseball program upholding the mission and ideals of Hannibal-LaGrange University.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibilities include all aspects of the program related to successful coaching, recruiting, budgeting, scheduling, promotions, fundraising, and mentoring along with any other administrative duties assigned by the Athletic Director.  In addition, the coach will be assigned a small teaching load. 
  • Must maintain proper certification to drive HLGU vehicles such as bus which requires a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
  • Head coach will be responsible for supervising the Head JV basketball coach and giving oversight as necessary.
  • Act as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING

Master’s degree and previous coaching experience is preferred.
