Susan Draine, EdD.
Adjunct Professor of Nursing
Dr. Draine joined our HLGU team in Fall 2024 as adjunct and she is delighted to share Christ with our BSN students. Her clinical nursing background includes medical-surgical, open heart, life-flight, and critical care nursing in which she maintained certification (CCRN) for 30 years.
She is retired from the Air Force Reserves, Nurse Corps in which she served as flight nurse (C-130s), critical care aeromedical transport (CCATT) nurse, aeromedical staging facility (ASF) nurse, and staff assistant visitor (SAV).
She has taught at several Christian Institutions of Higher Education and currently hales from Colorado (Colorado Christian University).
She is an adult health clinical nurse specialist (CNS) and certified nurse educator (CNE) and loves both online and classroom interaction with students.
She enjoys playing flute in the Highlands Ranch Concert Band and loves animals of all kinds.
