1858 Referral Scholarship

Refer a High School or Transfer Student to HLGU and receive a one- time scholarship of $1858 split into $929 over the first two consecutive semesters the student is enrolled full time at HLGU.

The referrer must be a current or incoming full-time undergraduate student who will be enrolled in traditional undergraduate studies during the semesters the referred student begins their studies.

The referred student must be new to HLGU (first-year or transfer), must be a full-time student, must not have applied, and must not have filled out a Request For Information form. Both the referrer and the referred student must remain enrolled through two consecutive censuses for the award to be fully awarded. The scholarship can be combined with other institutional aid but cannot exceed the cost of Tuition and Fees. One award per year. Referral can’t be for a student that will qualify for concession.
