HLGU Nursing Decorates Tree for Beth Haven

by Rebecca Sneed

Representatives of the HLGU Craigmiles School of Nursing will decorate a Christmas tree with an HLGU Nursing theme for Beth Haven’s Pleasant View Assisted Living Festival of Trees.

The Christmas trees in the festival, decorated by local businesses and organizations, will be on display at Pleasant View Assisted Living on Saturday, December 12, from 10 am to noon, and 2 pm to 4 pm, and on Sunday December 13, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Those attending the festival have the opportunity to purchase votes for a people’s choice award. The organization whose tree wins the people’s choice award will receive a $50 prize. Trees will also be up for silent auction. Money generated by the silent auction will be given directly to the organization that decorated the tree.

The nursing division will use the proceeds from their tree to support their annual medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic in May 2016.

Pleasant View Assisted Living is located at 641 Euclid Avenue in Hannibal.
