Lynn Wilkinson Named Instructor of Education

Hannibal-LaGrange University is pleased to announce the addition of Lynn Wilkinson as a new instructor of education. She will begin teaching education courses in the fall of 2020.

Wilkinson earned a bachelor of science degree in education from HLGU in 1993. Three years later, in 1996, she received her master’s in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

“As a graduate of Hannibal-LaGrange College, I had excellent Christian educators and advisers who gave me individual attention and prepared me not only for the education field, but also for continued service to the Lord,” said Wilkinson. “I value the Christian education I received from this great institution, and I look forward to providing a Christian education to future teachers.”

As an educator, Wilkinson has taught in several Missouri schools where she developed strong backgrounds in early childhood education and second grade curriculum. This experience has not only prepared her to teach future educators at HLGU, but also to integrate Christian faith into her teaching.

“As a teacher in the public-school system, I see firsthand the importance of having Christian educators in our schools. Hannibal-LaGrange has a great opportunity to prepare Christian men and women to use their God-given talents and serve the Lord as educators,” said Wilkinson. “As a teacher at HLGU, I will be able to help students grow in Christ as they prepare for their careers.”

Wilkinson and her family attend New Hartford Baptist Church where she teaches Sunday school and VBS. They have a daughter who currently attends HLGU and a son who is enrolled at Southwest Baptist University.
