Hannibal-LaGrange University is proud to announce the recipients of its prestigious 2025 Founders Scholarship, a full tuition scholarship awarded annually to two outstanding incoming students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership potential, and Christ-centered values.
This year’s recipients are Micah Boeckman of Wright City, Missouri, and Katherine Anderson of Bloomington, Illinois.
Micah Boeckman will enter HLGU this fall as a Business Administration major with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and Management. A graduate of Wright City R-II High School, he is the son of Cassie and Matt Boeckman.
Katherine Anderson will pursue a degree in K-12 Special Education and plans to be actively involved in the HLGU Theatre and Honors Program. A graduate of Calvary Christian Academy, she is the daughter of Rick and Rebekah Anderson.
The Founders Scholarship is the highest academic award offered by Hannibal-LaGrange University. To be eligible, prospective students must be admitted to the university and have an ACT composite score of 27 or higher. Finalists are invited to submit an essay and participate in an interview with a panel of HLGU faculty members, who evaluate candidates based on academic achievement, communication skills, and alignment with the university’s mission.
“We are thrilled to welcome Micah and Katherine to HLGU,” said Dr. Robert Matz, University President. “They represent the next generation of servant leaders, and we are confident they will impact eternity for Christ both on campus and beyond.”
