David Robarts, Ph.D.

Online Course Developer

Dr. Robarts oversees the creation and redevelopment of online courses and the supervision and training of online professors. He also serves as a professor of History and Christian studies. Before coming to HLGU, he briefly worked as a Special Education teacher in Nevada and an Associate pastor in California. Both jobs confirmed that he was called to serve in higher education, where loves teaching and discipling students, preparing them to serve as Christian witnesses wherever God calls them.

He received his B.S. in Integrated Elementary and Special Education from the University of Nevada, Reno; Master of Divinity with a Specialization in Biblical Studies from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary; and his Master of Theology with an Emphasis in Pedagogy Ph.D. in Biblical Studies with an Emphasis on Historical Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He enjoys running, hiking, and skiing and snowboarding every time he returns to his hometown near the Sierra Nevada Mountains. He also loves role playing and heavy strategy board games, reading science fiction novels, and is currently writing a book on demonic forces, temptation, and sanctification.
