“I enjoy interacting with students one-on-one and encouraging them to gain the knowledge necessary to be successful in their career endeavors,” said Dr. Don Colborn, HLGU alum and professor of biology. Prior to joining the HLGU faculty in 2003, Colborn taught at Missouri Baptist University.

Outside of the classroom, Colborn is a self-proclaimed tinkerer. “If it ain’t broke…why not?” he said. “Then I can fix it.” He also enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and golf.

Colborn’s wife is also an HLGU alum, and they have six children.
