Hannah Almeida, MA, Ed.S.

Hannah Almeida serves as Instructional Faculty in the Behavioral Science department. She is also an advisor for Psychology majors. Before coming to HLGU, Mrs. Almeida taught Introduction to Play Therapy and Advanced Play Therapy classes as part of the Master’s in Counseling program at University of Missouri-St. Louis. She also worked full time as an Educational Support Counselor for Wentzville Public School District in Wentzville, MO. These prior work experiences have helped shaped the way Mrs. Almeida approaches teaching and mentoring her students at Hannibal-LaGrange.

Mrs. Almeida moved to Hannibal, MO with her husband, Lucas, who is the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at HLGU. When she is not watching or playing soccer with her daughter and husband, she enjoys thrifting, drinking lots of coffee, singing and listening to live music.
