Lonnie Nelson

Professor of Philosophy

Dr. Nelson has taught at Hannibal-LaGrange University since 2000 and says that what he enjoys the most about teaching university students is the chance to build relationships and mentor students outside of the classroom.

At HLGU, Nelson has served as the faculty representative to the Board of Trustees and serves on the Student Learning Improvement Leadership Team, along with numerous other committees. He also teaches in the Honors Program and advises students in the Liberal Studies program.

Nelson and his wife have two grown children. He is the pastor of Journey of Faith Fellowship in Kahoka, Missouri.
