Jessica Matz, MA

Instructor of Psychology

Mrs. Matz teaches courses within the psychology department at HLGU. Before coming to HLGU, she worked for 13 years as an instructor of psychology, subject matter expert, and instructional mentor for Liberty University. In addition to academic roles, over the past two decades she has served churches as a pastor’s wife and started a non-profit Biblical lifecare counseling program.

She is married to Dr. Robert Matz, president of HLGU, and together they have three children. She enjoys learning alongside the children as they homeschool. As a family they enjoy visiting National Parks, building Legos, and reading books.
