Nicole Stewart, MSW, MACE, MA

Instructor of Psychology

Nicole Stewart is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Alabama. She is currently a Lead Research Coordinator at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL, for a nationwide study called the HEALthy Brain and Child Development study. She also has previous experience as a child protection social worker, a school social worker, and medical social worker in the neonatal ICU. She is pursuing a PhD in Medical Sociology through the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She is married with a beautiful, 6-year-old, adopted daughter. Her husband is a student pastor in Birmingham, AL. So, she is also a pastor’s wife! While she has lots of roles in life, but she really does love this one as an adjunct professor! She is getting her PhD in order to be a full-time professor one day due to her passion for education.

She enjoys travelling with her family and reading when she has free time. She also just ran her first half-marathon in November 2023, but it is “to be determined” if this will be a new hobby. She has a passion for social work and others and loves inspiring students to become “helpers” (no matter what profession) who love Christ and love others
