Mrs. Sabrina Brookshire began teaching as an adjunct instructor at HLGU in 2005 before becoming a full-time instructor in 2008.
Her previous directing experience includes Parfumerie, Fiddler on the Roof, The Mousetrap, Singin’ in the Rain, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Music Man, Steel Magnolias, The Curious Savage, Me and Richard 3, Three Little Pigs, Lost in Yonkers, Life with Father, Little Women, Harvey, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, A Christmas Carol, The Lion, White Christmas, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (2009, 2015), All My Sons, Rumors, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Light in the Garden, and The Glass Menagerie (Assistant Director). She has directed The New Edition, HLGU’s traveling Christian theatre troupe, since 2006.
Mrs. Brookshire has dance training and experience in tap, jazz, and lyrical, as well as eight years of vocal training. Additionally, she has performed with a symphony orchestra at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. to commemorate the 50th anniversary of WWII, and performed Magnificat by John Rutter with the HLGU Concert Choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Outside of the classroom, she enjoys photography, video editing, playing the violin, and traveling. Every summer, Mrs. Brookshire leads a team of students to Western Europe to share the gospel. She is married to Caleb Brookshire, and they reside in Hannibal, MO.
