Susan Wathen, MHRM
Master of Arts in Leadership

Susan Wathen serves as an Adjunct Professor for HLGU teaching both in-seat and online undergraduate Human Resource Management courses, as well as graduate level HR courses. Ms. Wathen is the Vice President – Human Resources for Hannibal Regional Healthcare System in Hannibal, MO, a role she has served in for the past 11 years. Prior to that, she served in a similar role for a regional bank. Wathen loves teaching students and has a desire to prepare them to work to their fullest potential as if working for the Lord.
She received both an Associate Degree and her B.S. in Organizational Leadership from HLGU. She completed her Masters in Human Resource Management from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management. She also holds the SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications as a human resource professional.
Wathen enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing, and traveling with her husband of 37 years. They have three daughters and six grandchildren and are active members of Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal.
