Please describe your position and what you enjoy most about it.

In my position at Whitetail Properties Real Estate, I take care of the agent and staff’s needs when it comes to computers, data backup, and the phone system. I enjoy my current position because I get to talk with different agents across the United States and every day I meet a new agent that I haven’t talked to before.

What aspects of your HLGU experience helped you prepare for your career?

One aspect of HLGU that helped me prepare for my career was the array of classes that I was able to take while completing my degree. Also the amount of access that was given to different software and resources helped me to learn the basics quickly.

What have you enjoyed most about your career?

The thing that I have enjoyed the most about my career is that there isn’t a single day that is the same. Technology changes at such a rapid rate and I am always reading and learning the latest thing to keep my skills sharpened.

How did HLGU shape you as a person?

HLGU gave me a great learning environment that helped prepare me for a job after graduation.

What HLGU professors played a part in your success? How did your relationship with faculty help you succeed?

Michelle Todd and Lonnie Nelson gave me the freedom to find the different areas in computing that I enjoyed and gave guidance and tips along the way to make it a successful learning experience.

Do you have any tips to share with students interested in this field?

Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and learn something that interests you. It may be tough and you may fail, but you will always get something very useful in the end.
