What Will You Study?

Christian Studies majors learn the fundamentals of biblical interpretation and translation, preaching, theology, missions, and Christian history. These foundational principles prepare students for ministry. It can also serve as a stepping-stone to a Master of Divinity or Theology.

During their senior year, Christian Study majors participate in a planned and supervised programs of observation, study, and work internships with selected ministry supervisors. These ongoing partnerships with pastors and a variety of different ministries to advance our goal of “Knowledge for Service,” preparing the Christian psychologist for personal and career effectiveness.

Program Objectives

After completion of the program, the Christian Studies major will be able to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of the content and recommended techniques associated with sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in witnessing.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the content and issues associated with basic Christian doctrines.
  • Demonstrate understanding of methods, tools, and principles of Biblical interpretation.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills required to accomplish an inductive-exegetical Bible study and to prepare and deliver Biblically based expositional sermons.
  • Demonstrate understanding of how to teach effective Bible lessons.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of leadership theory.

Apart from tuition, your only additional costs will be required course material (books, lab kits, etc.) and graduation fees. As part of our commitment to providing a quality education at a reasonable price, we have frozen tuition rates.
